Mrs. Christensen
Room 11
My name is Wendi Christensen but most of my students know me as “Mrs. C.” It’s been a pleasure to teach at Keizer Elementary for the past 10 years. I have taught for 12 years previously in the communities of Redmond and Klamath Falls, Oregon. I’ve been married to my sweet husband for 26 years and I have 2 children; Cade (now in his Junior year in college) and Selbie, a Senior at South Salem High School. I am wild about sports (especially hockey, volleyball, lacrosse and basketball) and I love camping, boating and the SUN!
My favorite color is BLACK and I will eat nearly everything…or at least try it. I Love food! I am now the shortest in my family with 2 nephews who are 6 feet 9 inches tall! I look forward to teaching, learning, and growing with you this year…I believe in you and know that
YOU are somebody’s EVERYTHING! I teach because YOU MATTER!

Mrs. DeFrancisco
Room 9
Hi there! I'm Jessica DeFrancisco, but more affectionately called "Mrs. De" from students. I graduated from Western Oregon University with my teaching license with an emphasis on ESOL, Health, and Language Arts. For the past few years I’ve had the opportunity to teach 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade at a variety of schools district-wide. I have been lucky enough to work with Keizer’s talented staff for the past five years as a full time 5th grade teacher and I am thrilled to call Room 9 home!
My husband and I are expecting our first child this Fall. We also love playing with our chocolate Labrador, Harper. He is full of energy and keeps us active! I am an "I Love Lucy" fan and my favorite color is teal. I believe in high expectations, demonstrating respect in all we do, and silly, creative dance moves. It's going to be an exciting year together!

Mrs. Auvinen
Room 5
Hello! My name is Kristi Auvinen. I can be found in Room 5, otherwise known as the “zebra room”. This will be my 16th year of teaching, and my 5th year at Keizer Elementary. I received both a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine, as well as a Masters in Teaching at Willamette University. I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 14 years, and we have 2 wonderful children. Ellie is 13 years old and an 8th grader at Whiteaker. Riley is 11, and currently a 6th grader at Whiteaker. A large yellow lab named Finn finishes out our family. Our kids are involved in many sports and we spend most of our free time watching them. We also enjoy cheering for the McNary Celtics because my husband is the head football coach. Go Celts! The rest of our free time is spent traveling and hanging out together.
I have wanted to be a teacher as long as I can remember. I loved school, and my goal is to create an environment that allows your child to love school as well. I have high expectations, but I work hard to provide the love and support a child needs to meet (and exceed) those expectations. Thank you for allowing me to teach your child -
I am looking forward to an amazing year! 😊

Mrs. Williams
Room 6
Hi! My name is Jeanne Williams, but I get a lot of Ms. W. This year marks my 29th year of teaching, but my 5th year at Keizer Elementary. I’ve had the privilege of teaching every grade from Kindergarten to Fifth, and am extremely excited to be joining the 5th grade team this year!
On a more personal note, I’ve been blessed with an amazing son whose name is Andrew. He is a senior this year at Salem Academy. We both love football, especially the Seahawks and the Ducks. We’ve enjoyed playing some golf with each other, even though he reminds me my form is SO off! We decided to enrich our home this summer with a beautiful bundle of energy…a golden retriever puppy named Zoey, who is now 16 weeks old. She has totally enjoyed meeting our cats Halo, Buggy, Pasta, and Flash. However, the cats run the house and aren’t as excited about it.
I love teaching! I can’t help but bring excitement, laughter, and humor into my classroom every day. I have very high expectations so learning and growth can happen each and every day you share your child with me.
Thank you for this opportunity to grow with your child this year.
